I specialize in creating freelance illustrations for children. One of my goals for my artwork is for it to bring color and happiness to children all over the world. I want to inspire children to create whatever they can imagine. To that end I want my work to spark their imagination. In order to achieve this goal I try to make my work very colorful and cheerful.
Additionally, growing up I noticed that usually the main characters in stories were what society portrays as perfect; Caucasian, perfect health, usually male, etc. I wanted to join my fellow artists in challenging that. Most of my characters wear glasses and are not traditionally main characters. I try to regularly challenge myself to diversify the characters I create.
